Growing in Grace and Purpose
CCBC’s Youth Group ministry is here to provide teens a living and growing environment for teens to discover, encounter and grow in Christ.
2 Cor. 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
Discover
Jesus Christ is the most important person for any human being to discover and come into relationship with. We hope to guide teens into the truth of this relationship through: bible study, prayer, and counsel.
Encounter
During His time here on earth, Jesus’ life was marked by reaching out to those in need. In turn those who sought and received His help encountered the living God and Savior; their lives were never the same. We hope that our CCBC teens will encounter their Savior at a deeper level as they reach out to others in their community, that they in turn may share the love and news of Jesus.
Grow
In 2 Cor. 5:17 Paul the apostle talks about a new identity he had received by becoming a follower of Jesus. He no longer saw himself according to his struggles, or what the world said of him, but in his Lord and Savior Jesus. During the hardest years of early life teens often struggle with who they are and who they are becoming; we pray to lead our teens into a deeper understanding that their identity is to be founded in Christ. He alone is the One to bring to light all that makes them unique and beautiful; He also puts an end to all that keeps them in bondage and sin.
Last but Not Least
Laughter, Humor and Fun are all necessary to a well-balanced life of a teenager and follower of Jesus. We hope to encourage those essentials as best we can.
